Overview

CountOnX ("CountOnX," "we," "us") provides AI- and AI-assisted math coaching and SAT Math practice for middle- and high-school students. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, grade level, and course you provide when you create an account.
• Content you submit: math problems you type, paste, or photograph, and any homework or questions you submit through the CountOnX learning experience.
• Usage and progress data: lessons completed, topics practiced, confidence check-ins, and similar activity used to personalize your experience and build your progress reports.
• Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. CountOnX receives limited billing status and Stripe customer identifiers needed to provide access, but never receives or stores your full card number or security code.

How we use your information

• To generate explanations and answers, including sending problem content to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing.
• To personalize teaching style and track topics you've mastered or are struggling with.
• To maintain and improve the reliability and safety of the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

Children's privacy

CountOnX is intended for use by students with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or teacher where appropriate, particularly for students under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove that information.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• With Anthropic, to generate AI tutoring responses from the problems you submit.
• With our hosting provider, to run and store the application and its data.
• With Stripe, to process purchases and manage subscriptions.
• With our email provider, to send account, teacher-message, and report notifications.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CountOnX, our users, or others.

Data retention and your choices

We keep account and progress data for as long as your account is active. You can update your profile information at any time from your Profile page. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
