Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CountOnX. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

The service

CountOnX provides AI-assisted math coaching, SAT Math practice, and paid teacher-question credits. Availability may be limited while we improve the service.

AI explanations aren't perfect

Explanations and answers are generated by an AI system and, occasionally, may be incomplete or incorrect. CountOnX is a learning aid, not a substitute for your teacher, textbook, or independent judgment — always double-check important work.

Your account

• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use CountOnX to complete graded work in a way that violates your school's academic integrity policy.
• Upload content you don't have the right to share, or content that is abusive, illegal, or harmful.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its AI systems.
• Use the service to harass, impersonate, or harm anyone.

Payments, memberships, and teacher credits

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. The price, billing interval, and renewal terms are shown in Stripe Checkout before you pay. An SAT Math membership unlocks SAT results and practice while it is active. A paid billing period grants one teacher-question credit; a teacher question can also be purchased separately. A credit starts one private teacher conversation and does not include a Zoom meeting.

You can manage an active membership, payment method, and cancellation through the Stripe customer portal linked from your CountOnX profile. Questions about billing or a refund request should be sent to admin@countonx.com with the email on the account. A refund or payment dispute suspends the related SAT access and revokes any unused teacher-question credit while it is reviewed. Once a private teacher conversation has started, that credit is treated as used service; please contact us before requesting a refund so we can review the circumstances.

Intellectual property

CountOnX and its content, design, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the problems and content you submit, and you grant us a license to use it to provide and improve the service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CountOnX is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including academic outcomes.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of CountOnX after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
